Air Berlin has Net Earnings of 11 Million Euros in 2007 – Results affected by One-Time Charge

Ad hoc Release pursuant to § 15 of the Securities Trading Act (WpHG)

London, 12 March 2008 - According to preliminary results, Air Berlin has net earnings of approximately 11 million Euros for the 2007 financial year. The total revenue for 2007 is 2.54 billion Euros (2006: 1.58 billion Euros), representing an increase of 61 percent. EBITDAR (earnings, before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and rent) improved 48% from 256.5 million Euros (2006) to 379.0 million Euros. Operationally, the results for the past financial year were affected by one-time charges in the double digit millions resulting from the delayed LTU integration and issues associated with the technical integration of the IT systems. An EBIT of 21.49 million Euros (2006: 64.15 million Euros) has been realized. The expected compensation from releasing certain reserves could not be realized. Instead of extraordinary income, the release of the reserves is accounted without having effect on the net income. This represents a net earning, after interest and tax, of 11 million Euros (2006: 50.10 million Euros).

Air Berlin will publish more detailed information on its Annual Financial Statements 2007 in the Press Conference and Analysts & Investors Conference on 31 March 2008.
